INFORMATION COLLECTION AND USE

Information Collection
PFI is the sole owner of the information collected on all its websites. We collect information from users when they register on our site, subscribe to a newsletter, respond to a survey, fill out a form, or otherwise provide personal details. Users may be asked for personal details such as name, email address, mailing address, and phone number to help facilitate their experience with our services.

Donation
PFI requests information from users on our donation form. A user must provide contact information (such as name, email, and address) and financial information (such as credit card number and expiration date). This information is used to process donations. If there is a problem processing a donation, the information may be used to contact the user.

Profile
PFI stores information collected through cookies, log files, and third parties to create a user profile. This profile is used to tailor the user’s experience on our websites and deliver relevant content based on the user’s preferences.

HOW PFI USES COLLECTED INFORMATION

We use the information collected to personalize the user experience, deliver relevant content, improve our website and services, respond to customer service requests, administer promotions or surveys, and send periodic emails based on user interests. Users may also receive follow-up communications through live chat, email, or phone correspondence based on their interactions with PFI.

COOKIES, LOG FILES, AND CLEAR GIFS

Cookies

PFI uses cookies to store user preferences, track aggregate data on site traffic and interactions, and improve the user experience. GOOGLE ADVERTISING

PFI uses Google AdSense Advertising on our website. Google may use cookies, such as the DART cookie, to serve ads based on a user’s previous visits to our website and other sites across the internet. We have implemented Google AdSense features, such as Remarketing and Google Display Network Impression Reporting, to better understand user interactions with ads.

SECURITY

PFI takes extensive precautions to protect user information. Our website is regularly scanned for security vulnerabilities, and all sensitive information submitted through our website, such as credit card details, is encrypted using Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology. Transactions are processed through a secure gateway provider, and sensitive information is not stored on our servers.

Off-line, we limit access to personal information to employees who need it to perform specific tasks, and our servers are housed in a secure environment.

USER OPTIONS AND OPT-OUT

PFI respects users’ privacy and provides options for restricting contact methods, including:

  • Do not contact me by phone except when I have requested a reply.
  • Do not send me postal mail for anything I have not requested.
  • Do not send me email communications for which I have not subscribed.
  • Do not send me fundraising requests for PFI.
  • Do not share my information for third-party data analysis purposes.
  • Do not contact me via text message.

HOW PFI HANDLES DO NOT TRACK SIGNALS

PFI honors Do Not Track (DNT) signals and does not plant cookies or use advertising when a DNT browser mechanism is in place. However, PFI may engage in third-party behavioral tracking to better understand user preferences and site engagement.

CHILDREN’S PRIVACY

We do not specifically market our services to children under the age of 13, in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

DATA BREACH NOTIFICATION

In the event of a data breach, PFI will notify affected users via email within seven business days and post an in-site notification within the same timeframe to ensure transparency and user protection.

CORRECTING/UPDATING/DEACTIVATING PERSONAL INFORMATION

If a user’s personal information changes (such as zip code, phone, email, or postal address), or if a user no longer desires our service, we provide a way to correct, update, or deactivate their personal information by contacting PFI.

NOTIFICATION OF CHANGES

PFI reserves the right to make changes to this privacy policy. If changes are made, a notice will be posted on our homepage and other places we deem appropriate to ensure users are always aware of what information is collected, how it is used, and under what circumstances it is disclosed.
